On March 22, 1993, Depeche Mode released "Songs of Faith and Devotion."
Lyrically, musically and visually it is a perfect record, matched only by an unbelievable tour. The live dvd "Devotional" shows it better than I could ever describe it; what this music did for me.
They will not, in my opinion, sound this good, ever again.
This record was the only music I listened to for six months in a row in 1993.
Drunk, selfish and happy-ish...that is a story, however, for another time.
